Washington Freedom dominate UNC

Washington Freedom won 5-0 over the University of North Carolina Tar Heels today at the Maryland SoccerPlex. The match was part of the Kicks Against Breast Cancer Tournament which is an annual intercollegiate soccer tournament that honors Claudia Mayer, who died of breast cancer in 1996. Freedom’s offense controlled much of the first half of the match as Jill Gilbeau posted the first goal with an assist from Sonia Bompastor. (Examiner.com)
