Parker's Presence Turns Up Heat On Portis

During a radio program in late February, Washington Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said of Clinton Portis, “He’s our running back.” That was then, this is now. The Washington Redskins’ running back situation went from interesting to downright puzzling on Friday when the team added Willie Parker to a mix that already included fellow aging one-time stars Portis and Larry Johnson.
