Alex White pitches Indians to win in debut

The stage has been bigger, the spotlight brighter, the stakes considerably higher. But in his first game as a professional, Alex White couldn’t have done it much better. White, a Kinston Indians right-hander and Greenville native, pitched five shutout innings in his pro debut to lift the K-Tribe to a 4-1 win over Winston-Salem on Saturday at Grainger Stadium.
