Jacobs: Money Talks

Through it all, the take-away lines reverberated from the films “All The President’s Men” and “Jerry McGuire.” In the first, based on the reporting that broke open the Watergate scandal in the 1970s, the guiding principle was “Follow the money.” In the second, a fictionalized tale about a sports agent, the operant imperative was “Show me the money.” Clearly, either could serve as a theme for intercollegiate sports.
