Wear twins will not return to North Carolina

The Wear twins, David and Travis, are planning to transfer away from North Carolina – doing double the damage to the Tar Heels' frontcourt depth for the 2010-11 season. Long Beach Press-Telegram basketball writer Frank Burlison reported on his blog that their father, Dave Wear, informed UNC coach Roy Williams his sons wish to be released in order to transfer elsewhere.
