Lebo's pedigree a boon for Pirates
Posted May 12, 2010
New ECU basketball coach Jeff Lebo was eating lunch recently when a longtime Tar Heels fan recognized him. "He started to go into a game in 1987 when we lost to N.C. State," said a grinning Lebo, who played point guard for UNC from 1986-89. "He could remember everything. And that's when I knew I was back in North Carolina - a state where basketball is important." Now he's in a town where he hopes he can help make basketball important, too.
