UNC Women's Lacrosse Downs Navy, 18-5, In NCAA Opening Round


The University of North Carolina women's lacrosse team jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first six minutes of the game and defeated Navy, 18-5, in the NCAA Tournament opening round on Saturday afternoon at steamy Fetzer Field. The victory improves Carolina to 16-2 this season. Navy, making its first NCAA Tournament appearance in its third year as a varsity program, drops to 17-4. (Tar Heel Blue)
