A 'tough' victory for UNC women's lacrosse

At the end of Saturday's NCAA Tournament quarterfinal matchup between UNC and Virginia, the Cavaliers jogged toward the stands to acknowledge their fans. Instead, the players received a large round of applause from the crowd, including the UNC squad. Even though the Tar Heels defeated the Cavs 17-7 to end their season, Virginia, still grieving after the death of one of their players three weeks ago, was in the spotlight from the opening whistle.
