Heralded area signees drafted in second round

Two North Carolina baseball programs will have to play the waiting game. Stetson Allie, a North Carolina signee and a right-handed pitcher out of Ohio with an upper 90s fastball, was considered by most as a first-round draft pick. In the end, he lasted one round later. Tuesday afternoon the Pittsburgh Pirates chose Allie with the 52nd pick of the Major League Baseball draft, putting his already-slim chances of ever stepping foot on campus in Chapel Hill severely in doubt.
