Katherine Perry Wins N.C. Junior Girls' Championship


Katherine Perry, an incoming freshman on the UNC women's golf team, won the 43rd North Carolina Junior Girls' Championship being played at Forest Oaks Country Club, a par 72, 6,007-yard layout. Perry, from Cary, defeated Maddison Kennedy of Salisbury in the semifinals, 5 and 4 on Friday morning and then defeated Andrea Robbins of Pleasant Garden, 2 up in the championship match that afternoon.
