If the NCAA does turn up improper player/agent relationships at UNC, it’s very possible that the player(s) in question would bear the brunt of the punishment, in the form of suspension/loss of eligibility. Again, assuming the Tar Heels don’t follow the USC “see no evil” approach, they would likely avoid program-wide penalties in this hypothetical scenario. The recruiting trail could be another story.
