Tar Heels coming to Atlanta amid scandal


This was supposed to be the year that UNC made its break into the national spotlight. With a stout defense built by fourth-year coach and a No. 18 preseason ranking -- their highest since 1998 -- the Tar Heels appeared poised to contend in the ACC's Coastal division and try to win a conference title.
