When UNC football coach Butch Davis looks across the green carpet Saturday night to an LSU football team not besieged by serious sports agent and athletic tutor investigations like the ones going on with his program, he may think to himself: "I could be over there right now." Davis secretly interviewed for the LSU football coaching opening at a small airport in the Miami area in mid-November of 1999.
