During ’s ACC tenure, the conference twice has negotiated lucrative national television deals, most recently a 12-year, $1.86 billion contract with ESPN. The pact, signed this past spring amidst difficult economic times, was the first in which the ACC packaged basketball and football, and it more than doubled the TV and related revenues for the league’s 12 member institutions.
