The Tar Heels’ 42 points are the most they have scored against East Carolina since UNC beat the Pirates 56-0 behind Kelvin Bryant’s six touchdowns in 1981. The 25-point margin of victory was UNC’s largest since beating Georgia Southern, 42-12, on Oct. 10, 2009.
