NC State offers Rodney Purvis?

5-star shooting guard Rodney Purvis, a 2012 UNC target from Raleigh, thanked NC State coach Sidney Lowe via his Twitter account for a scholarship offer Tuesday night:
"Thanks for Coach Lowe for the schoolarship (sic) he just gave me."
The Wolfpack may have to play catch-up with Duke and UNC in terms of Purvis' interest level, but if Purvis is at all interested in his hometown team, Lowe proved last year that he's capable of keeping the local talent at home as evidenced by his signing of incoming freshman star C.J. Leslie, also from Raleigh.
