Jerry Stackhouse ready to play

The Miami Heat was interested in putting Jerry Stackhouse to work. Stackhouse, who had longed to play for the Heat since the summer, said he wasn't just ready to play -- but play for free. "I would have told him that I probably would have came for free if he asked me,'' Stackhouse said on Sunday, his first full day with his new team. "I'm just glad he didn't.'' (Miami Herald)
