Point guard Myck Kabongo reneges on pledge to Longhorns
Posted Oct 30, 2010
Myck Kabongo, the gifted point guard from Canada who was supposed to sign with the Longhorns, told ESPN.com that he has broken his commitment. Kabongo, widely regarded as the second-best point guard in the class of 2011, is the second player who has reneged on a commitment to Texas. Kabongo said he wants to give himself the best chance to win big. Rumors spread during the summer that he might go to Duke to play with shooting guard Austin Rivers, also in the class of 2011.
