Duke's defense struggles to get stops in loss to Tar Heel Women

Facing a fast-paced offense that it has managed to slow in recent meetings, the Blue Devils' defense repeatedly gave up easy baskets to the third-ranked Tar Heels. And by the time it was over, Duke had allowed an opponent to score 90 points for just the third time this decade. "It's something where we've got to bear down," first-year coach Joanne P. McCallie said after the 93-76 loss to the Tar Heels. (Lexington Dispatch)
