Miami Heat release Jerry Stackhouse

The Miami Heat will take the quantity-if-not-quality approach when it comes to finding answers at center. Despite adding Erick Dampier to a rotation at center, a source has confirmed the team instead elected Tuesday to release veteran guard Jerry Stackhouse. Stackhouse started Saturday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies, but has contributed little since his arrival. (South Florida Sun-Sentinel)
