Italee Lucas scored 25 points, Waltiea Rolle had 13 points and 12 rebounds, and No. 14 North Carolina dominated inside in an 87-58 victory over Illinois on Saturday in the Rainbow Wahine Showdown. Jessica Breland added 14 points for North Carolina, which held advantages in rebounds (51-40), points in the paint (46-22) and blocks (9-0). Lucas finished 9-of-15 from the field.
