Savon Huggins named New Jersey Gatorade Player of the Year


Savon Huggins’ off-season has gotten off to a glowing start. The senior running back from St. Peter’s Prep has been named the 2010 Gatorade New Jersey Football Player of the Year. Huggins maintains a 3.64 grade-point average and is a National Honor Society member. Huggins has not committed to college, but has narrowed his list to seven. He has made official visits to Notre Dame and North Carolina and has scheduled visits to Wisconsin and Rutgers. His fifth official will be to USC, Tennessee or Auburn. (Newark Star-Ledger)
