Bowl gives Vols a chance to get better


For Coach Derek Dooley, a bowl game means an opportunity to put his Tennessee Volunteers through another training camp. Dooley gave his players more than a two-week break from practice to give their bodies a chance to heal. He started putting the Vols through a sort of mini-camp Thursday, drilling young players on fundamentals and conditioning them to face UNC in the Music City Bowl on Dec. 30. (Winston-Salem Journal)
