With a handful of workouts heading into last weekend’s Atlantic Coast Conference showdown with visiting Maryland, the team cranked up the intensity in practice. The result was that North Carolina kept its effort consistent through tense moments at the end of regulation and through two overtimes in its 97-86 victory against the fifth-ranked Terrapins.
