Miami stays close, falters in 2nd half against UNC

The buzz the University of Miami created with its 14-1 start is fading quickly. The Hurricanes (14-4, 1-3 ACC) lost their third consecutive game on Wednesday night, dropping a 98-82 decision to No. 5 North Carolina before a sold-out crowd of 7,000 at the BankUnited Center. A little more than a week ago, the Hurricanes were ranked No. 21 and were coming off a 78-68 victory against Georgia Tech in the ACC opener. (Palm Beach Post)
