Tanner McEvoy commits to South Carolina
Posted Jan 21, 2011
Two of New Jersey's top football prospects announced commitments to South Carolina on Thursday, pushing South Carolina's recruiting class for 2011 to 30. Quarterback Tanner McEvoy (6-5, 200), of Oradell, and defensive back Sheldon Royster (5-11, 190), of Jersey City, each had numerous offers but narrowed their lists to two before picking the Gamecocks. McEvoy, who passed for more than 2,200 yards and 20 touchdowns last season, went with USC over North Carolina.
