Possible sanctions don't deter Tar Heel football recruits
Posted Jan 30, 2011
The NCAA investigation into UNC's football program hasn't stopped coach Butch Davis from putting together a recruiting class ranked in the top 25 nationally and among the top three in the ACC. Some players who have committed to UNC said rival recruiters have mentioned the possible penalties in an effort to get players to turn away from the Tar Heels. Nonetheless, as of Saturday morning, the Tar Heels' class was rated No.14 nationally by rivals.com and was tied for 19th nationally according to scout.com.
