UNC near middle in coach-spending spectrum

UNC ranks behind some of its ACC peers in coach salaries, opening the possibility for higher turnover. North Carolina ranks fifth in the ACC in total coach spending and 34th out of 66 among Bowl Championship Subdivision teams in coach salary, according to the Department of Education’s Equity in Athletics database. The study includes numbers from the 2009-10 school year. (Daily Tar Heel)
