Tar Heels land New Bern star

New Bern linebacker Kevin Reddick, who has been one of UNC’s major recruiting targets this year, has made a verbal commitment to the Tar Heels, according to his high school head coach. The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder, who helped lead New Bern to the state 4-AA championship as a senior, had chosen UNC over offers from Alabama, East Carolina, N.C. State, South Carolina, Virginia and Virginia Tech. (Fayetteville Observer)
