Defensive Tackle J.J. Patterson Commits to UNC

J.J. Patterson informed Inside Carolina that he made a verbal commitment to North Carolina on Saturday following the Tar Heels' Spring Game. Patterson, a 6-foot-4, 310-pound defensive tackle from Roanoke Rapids (N.C.), selected UNC over scholarship offers from East Carolina and NC State. He's ranked a four-star prospect by Scout.com.
