Desmond Hubert, a 6-9 forward from New Egypt High School in New Jersey, has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend the University of North Carolina and play men’s basketball. Hubert, a resident of Cream Ridge, N.J., averaged 16 points, nine rebounds and six blocked shots per game as a senior. He played for Coach Jay Corby. “We are very excited about Desmond’s decision to become a Tar Heel,” says UNC head coach Roy Williams.
