Ivory Latta rises to the rafters

A large part of Ivory Latta wished her jersey were still on her back. Instead, the diminutive point guard who was known as much for her energy on the court as her swift playing style and her lethal 3-point shot will have to settle for having her No. 12 in the Carmichael Auditorium rafters. The school retired Latta's jersey during a ceremony at halftime of the Tar Heels' 99-78 win over Georgia Tech. (Durham Herald-Sun)
