Walter Black, three others going into Winston-Salem Hall of Fame
Posted May 13, 2011
East Forsyth's Walter Black was one of the top athletes in Forsyth County in the late 1970s and early 1980s. He attended North Carolina on a prestigious Morehead Scholarship — which he won after signing a football scholarship with the Tar Heels. He lettered three seasons as a defensive back and has the claim to fame of intercepting Dan Marino, who was then at Pitt.
