Coach Mike Fox was unexpectedly absent Friday night, but North Carolina didn't miss him in its 4-0 victory over Maine in the NCAA baseball tournament. Fox wasn't at Boshamer Stadium for the first round of the Chapel Hill Regional because he was attending to a personal matter, according to school athletics officials. (Winston-Salem Journal)
