Greg Holt drafted in 8th round by Nationals

The first of two North Carolina high schoolers to go in the eighth round was Clayton's Jason Creasy to the Pittsburgh Pirates. Brandon Culbreth of Forsyth Country Day went just eight picks later to the Houston Astros. Sandwiched between them at pick 247 overall was UNC hurler Greg Holt who was taken by the Nationals.
