Cardinal not afraid of Tar Heels in super regional

Stanford coach Mark Marquess is banking that his club's strong non-league schedule has instilled a thick skin. The Cardinal played three national powers -- Rice, Vanderbilt and Texas -- on the road in the preseason. Stanford went 4-5 against those teams. Four of those losses were by a combined five runs.
