Tar Heels return to College World Series

Coach Mike Fox began to suspect in early May that his team had a chance to reach the College World Series. Late Saturday night at Boshamer Stadium, UNC withstood two storms, one natural and the other man-made, to prove Fox right. It defeated Stanford 7-5 to win the Chapel Hill Super Regional in two games and advance to the CWS in Omaha, Neb. (Winston-Salem Journal)
