Cornerback Nate Dortch commits to UNC
Posted Jun 17, 2011
For the last two years South Fort Myers High cornerback Nate Dortch has been tasked with covering Clemson-recruit Sammy Watkins, arguably Lee County's greatest wide receiver, during practices. "Getting beat almost every play by him helped me get better," said Dortch, a rising senior at South. "He helped me learn how to use my speed and stuff to catch up. He helped me redefine myself." Dortch redefined himself again Thursday as he verbally committed to the University of North Carolina after a two-day visit to Chapel Hill.
