Tar Heels hit wall in College World Series loss to Vanderbilt
North Carolina's offensive inefficiency Saturday at the College World Series puts its season on the brink. The Tar Heels stranded 16 runners, including twice leaving the bases loaded, in a 7-3 loss to Vanderbilt in the first CWS game played at TD Ameritrade Park. The run total was UNC's low for the NCAA tournament in spite of having 20 hitters reach base. (
