Vanderbilt ends Tar Heels' run in College World Series

Vanderbilt backed the strong pitching of Taylor Hill with home runs by Connor Harrell and Curt Casali in posting a 5-1 College World Series victory Tuesday night that ends North Carolina’s season. Hill limited the Tar Heels to four hits in seven innings in helping the Commodores post their second CWS win over North Carolina. Vanderbilt scored a 7-3 win in Saturday’s opening game of the tournament.
