Vanderbilt knocks North Carolina out of College World Series

Sixth seeded Vanderbilt had lost back-to-back games only once this season coming into its elimination showdown against No. 3 North Carolina on Wednesday. That was a bad omen for the Tar Heels at TD Ameritrade Park. Vandy was true to form, rolling to a 5-1 victory to keep alive the Commodores' championship hopes in their first CWS appearance.
