Hitting slump sends UNC home after loss to Vanderbilt

North Carolina's fifth trip to the College World Series in the past six years might have been the most unexpected of the bunch, but Wednesday it ended in an all too familiar way. Vanderbilt beat UNC 5-1 to eliminate the Tar Heels and send them back to Chapel Hill without a national championship in nine trips to the CWS. (Durham Herald-Sun)
