Tobacco Road coaching legends honored

They came to hear stories about three of the state's all-time great basketball coaches. They came to Raleigh Memorial Auditorium, on a day Gov. Bev Perdue officially claimed as Basketball Day in the state, to honor the careers of the late Kay Yow, Mike Krzyzewski and Dean Smith. "We are the college basketball Mecca of the world," N.C. Sports Hall of Fame president Nat Walker said. (Charlotte Observer)
