Marion Honors Roy Williams


The city of Marion honored Roy Williams on Monday with a dedication ceremony for a marker noting his birthplace. The North Carolina Hall of Fame basketball coach was born on Aug. 1, 1950 at Marion General Hospital. The marker stands in front of City Hill, one block from the former hospital. (Inside Carolina)
