In the end, Dick Baddour did the right thing for the University of North Carolina. That was always his motivation. Throughout this football scandal, no one was more visibly disturbed or more openly embarrassed than the athletic director. Baddour began his career at UNC in 1967, and when he had no option but to step aside, he went willingly, if sadly. (Charlotte Observer)
