Cowboys rookie LB Bruce Carter expects to play Sunday

According to rookie linebacker Bruce Carter, the countdown to his NFL debut has begun. Carter said he expects to play Sunday after returning to practice last week. Carter, a second-round draft pick, suffered a torn ACL in his left knee during his senior season at North Carolina. While Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said he has been pleased with Carter's progress, he wouldn't divulge the linebacker's status for Sunday. (Dallas Morning News)
