DE Desmond Owino commits to UNC


2012 defensive end Desmond Owino (6'5, 240) from Sanderson High School in Raleigh, NC committed to UNC over the weekend. Owino has the potential to be a "diamond in the rough" with his combination of size, speed, and raw football instincts. Owino has played just one season of high school football, having arrived in the United States from Kenya last November where he played Rugby and enjoyed basketball. As you can see from his highlight reel, he possesses an excellent feel for the game and outstanding speed for his size. Owino was also being recruited by N.C. State:
