Wisconsin goes cold, misses chance to topple Tar Heels

Fifth-ranked North Carolina was vulnerable Wednesday night in the Smith Center, where the Tar Heels had won 18 consecutive games. Ninth-ranked Wisconsin, unbeaten but for the most part untested, appeared poised to pull off the upset in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. UW suffered its first loss of the season, 60-57, because its shooting was dreadful, particularly from the three-point line. (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel)
