UNC reaches field hockey final


The North Carolina field hockey team will play for the program's fifth national championship following a 4-2 victory over Connecticut on Friday in the NCAA semifinals. Sophomore Danielle Forword scored twice for top-ranked UNC (23-0), which advances to Sunday's championship game against No. 9 Penn State, which beat No. 3 Wake Forest 2-0 in Friday's second semifinal. The championship game is set for noon and will air live on CSTV. (Raleigh News & Observer)
