SIMILAR: Tar Heels, Wildcats set for long haul

North Carolina has big plans. Davidson has big plans. Last night, in a pro arena packed with college fans and stuffed with makeup calls, the extremely optimistic teams unrolled their basketball blueprints. They rolled out the prototypes - Carolina bruiser Tyler Hansbrough, Davidson stroker Stephen Curry - and waded through a typical November mess. The No. 1 Tar Heels prevailed 72-68 despite 19 mostly unforced turnovers, absurdly peripheral fouls and 35-percent shooting in the second half. (Winston-Salem Journal)
